Almost a billion people in the world is living with neurological disorders. Brain Health is an area that also includes the connection with NCDs like cancer, cardiovascular, diabetes and others as well as the mental health. How can we improve the knowledge about these diagnoses and the connections?
17 March day 2 – How do we tackle challenges in NCDs together with Mental Health?
What is at stake? Every 2 seconds, someone under the age of 70 dies due to an NCD. Now, the EU has presented a Safe Hearts Plan for decreasing the deaths of cardiovascular diseases. The Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan is still going on, and the Member States – including Sweden – are planning for their own strategies. A good Quality of Life is something important to all, independent of who you are or where you live and that’s why support of different kinds are needed.
